Starlight Workshop Tea - Coming up June 2nd!

After a couple of months in development - Miss Stella is thrilled to be hosting another Starlight Workshop Tea!  So many new connections and resources to share with everyone - plus teaching tips and more about using the Principle Approach to instill critical thinking and reasoning from a Biblical Worldview into your child's mind and heart.

Here are all the details in our new flyer:

Adrienne Richardson has been working on a tentative field trip and special event calendar with some great teaching and learning and arts opportunities for your families.  Also, we'll be introducing you to our new "star" Cindy Mann!  Cindy is a veteran homeschooler of nine years - all her kids grown now - and is a gifted seamstress.

She will be conducting sewing classes for students with projects to be produced and exhibited at the end of each semester at our STARSHINE SHOWCASE - one in December, 2012 and another in early June 2013.

The STARSHINE SHOWCASE will be an exciting venue for the Parable Players Home School Theatre productions, in addition to student work exhibits from various disciplines.  Homeschool students will have an opportunity to showcase their project work from each semester for all to see in a gala event setting.  We'll have details and guidelines on how to submit your student's project for this exciting new resource at the Starlight Workshop Tea on June 2 in addition to the details being available here on our blog on an above tab after that date.

Our venue host for this month's workshop - and subsequent workshops - will be MAGNOLIA HILL STUDIOS

We are excited to be working HERE with artistic director, Sandy Smith, and her talented staff of artists and dancers.  Sandy conducts art and dance classes for students after regular school hours, but will be announcing two new classes for homeschoolers specifically.  You'll also learn about the great roster of summer camps at Magnolia Hill Studios - a different theme each week all summer long!

SPOONFULS OF SUGAR will debut as a regular aspect of our monthly workshops!

Nikkole Hollenwenger will demonstrate creative and unique ways to teach and learn important concepts.  What great ideas she comes up with - and we'll get the benefit of her creativity each month with something new!   You can always keep up with all her creative ideas at her Mercy, Me, & Tea blog.

Summer is also a great time to find out what's happening at INDIAN TRAIL FARMS with Erica and all the exciting goings-on in the horse arena HERE - and at the wigwam camp in the woods!

Want to know more?  Come to the workshop and find out!

Some inspirational lessons are on the menu as Miss Kathy will demonstrate the use of the timeline - from Creation to the present - in teaching and learning which is foundational to Principle Approach teaching.

Then, we'll "make and take" a teacher's guide binder to help you keep everything organized - and show you how to help your kids stay organized, too!

Of course, Miss Stella is pleased to set out a lovely teatime in the Magnolia Hill Studio kitchen.  Sign in when you arrive - $10 registration fee and $5 supplies fee - and then help yourself to tea and treats in the kitchen.  Find a spot at the table in the main meeting room with the cozy stone fireplace and we'll begin after some fellowship chat time.  Our sessions will move quickly with plenty of discussion and break time between.  We hope to accomplish much in about 3.5 hours - so come prepared to receive!!

Please copy and print out the flyer above and do share it with anyone you think might be interested.  So many families we're meeting have considered homeschooling but are fearful to step out because they don't know how to start and need support.  Constellation Academy exists to be a foundational support to both the novice and the veteran homeschool family.

We're just starting out - a little seed - but, as the Lord leads and feeds, that seed will grow
into a mighty and fruitful tree whose branches reach up and - touch the stars!
